How to use this tool

1
Enter your mouse DPI

The DPI set in your mouse software, e.g. 400, 800 or 1600.

2
Enter your in-game sensitivity

The sensitivity value from the game's settings.

3
Pick your game

Typical pro eDPI ranges differ a lot between games, so the note is game-specific.

4
Match it at another DPI

In Advanced, enter a target DPI to get the sensitivity that preserves the same feel.

Formula & worked example

eDPI = mouse DPI x in-game sensitivity. Example: 800 DPI x 0.5 sensitivity = 400 eDPI. To keep the same feel at another DPI, use sensitivity = eDPI / new DPI.

800 DPI at 0.5 sensitivity in Valorant gives 400 eDPI — a common pro-level value. At 1600 DPI the matching sensitivity is 400/1600 = 0.25.

Limitations — read this before you rely on it

eDPI only compares feel when the game's sensitivity scale is the same; a Valorant 0.5 is not the same as a Fortnite 0.5, so cross-game eDPI numbers are not directly comparable. Polling rate, mouse acceleration and Windows pointer settings also affect real feel — turn mouse acceleration off for consistency.

Frequently asked questions

Effective DPI: your mouse DPI multiplied by your in-game sensitivity. It lets players on different DPIs compare their true sensitivity.

Most professionals play roughly between 200 and 500 eDPI; lower values favour precise aiming.

Yes, the eDPI is identical, so the on-screen turn speed matches — though very high DPI can feel marginally smoother.

Fortnite's sensitivity scale is calibrated differently, so its eDPI numbers run far higher and cannot be compared with Valorant or CS2.

Use it as a starting range, then adjust to your grip, mouse space and aiming style — comfort beats copying exactly.
