How to use this tool

1
Pick the carrier format

UPS, FedEx (12 or 15 digits) or USPS (20 or 22 digits).

2
Generate

Each click makes a fresh random sample in that pattern.

3
Use in test flows

Checkout, label-printing and scanning demos that need a plausible-looking number.

4
Never track it

Carriers will not recognise these numbers — that is the point.

Formula & worked example

Each carrier has a fixed pattern: UPS is 1Z plus 16 alphanumeric characters; FedEx samples are 12 or 15 digits; USPS samples are 20 or 22 digits starting 94. Only the pattern is reproduced — no carrier check digit, account or routing data is computed, because these are not real shipments.

UPS gives an 18-character sample starting 1Z followed by 16 letters/digits; FedEx 12-digit gives 12 random digits.

Limitations — read this before you rely on it

Format samples only, for testing. They are not real shipments, are not trackable, carry no check-digit guarantee for the carrier's internal validation, and must never be given to a customer as a genuine tracking number.
